In this blog post, you will learn about the glamping at New Huttopia Adirondacks. It is located Upstate New York near Lake Luzerne. We were gifted a night’s stay from Huttopia Canada in exchange for our honest review. All opinions are our own.
A couple of months ago, I woke up feeling like it was time for our family to do something different. Really different.
For the last couple of years, we’ve not traveled further than an hour away and that was only to check on other family members. So, I was determined to find a way for us to take a short and safe getaway that the kids would enjoy and remember.
During a late night google session for weekend getaways near New Jersey, I came across the idea of Glamping. And I knew that we had to start visiting places to go glamping in the Northeast. More specifically, camping and glamping near NY and NJ.
What is Glamping? Glamping vs. Camping?
Glamping means you are camping…glamorously.
Yes, you are usually in nature. Yes, you can absolutely be in a tent, but you also have access to most or all of your usual conveniences. This may include a full size bathroom and stove.
These are commonly not found at a traditional campsite.

The resort comprises of many beautiful canvas tents that feature the amenities of home.

What Do The Tents Look Like? What’s In The Tent?
Each tent we viewed were similar in design on the outside, but varied in size. However, each seemed to provide the same amazing unique glamping experience.
We stayed in the Trappeur Tent with wood stove. As shown in the video below, the glamping tents were fully equipped. There were real beds, including a queen bed and bunk beds.
There were even shower facilities inside the tent.
In addition, there was a sink in the kitchen area with a running sink and a small refrigerator. These deluxe cabins had kitchen utensils and cookware.
There was a distinct living space large enough to create a dining area indoors by using the trunk & wooden plank provided by the resort.
On the private deck, there was more than enough room eat breakfast or lounge while viewing the outdoor fire pit.
Are The Tents at Huttopia Heated?
When we visited, it was the middle of the summer. But, the evenings did get cooler than I expected. However, we did notice there was a wood burning stove and heat lamp you can use for about 40 minutes at a time. There was also a lot of very warm and comfy blankets on all of the beds in the tents.
How Many People Can The Tents Sleep?
It seemed like we had one of the larger tents with a maximum capacity of up to 5 people. The Trappeur Tent with Wood Stove is perfect for our family of 4. It felt like one of the tiny houses we’ve seen on TV. You can learn more about the details of each tent on the Huttopia website.

Here you can find get fresh coffee, smoothies, crepes, and fresh pizza. We had a couple pizzas and they were delicious.
We brought some food from home to cook on their outdoor BBQ grill. The grill also had a gas burner where you can boil some water for tea or coffee in the morning. I was easily able to make a cup of matcha in the morning.
Outside this main lodge, there’s picnic tables, outdoor seating, and games such as shuffleboard, and table tennis. There’s also balls and other toys for the kids to play with.
