About the Brand

1. When did you create your own natural soap and skincare line?

“I started making soap from scratch several years ago. I haven’t bought into the commercial “soap” market since, and my skin has thanked me for it.”

2. Briefly explain how and what your soaps are made of?

“The soaping world is huge. All soap makers prepare soap differently. Our soaps are made with only real ingredients made from the Earth. That means no synthetic colors, and no synthetic perfumes.”

3. What would you would you say is the most unique thing about your soaps?

“Soaps from Blue Bee Bars will not dry out your skin. Our soaps will balance your skin’s natural moisture. Natural soaps make their own glycerin, which is what leaves your skin moisturized. We then add different organic milks, organic honey, or butters to give your skin extra hydration.”

And now for the some advice from a pro on natural soaps…

4 .What is one recommendation you would give people looking for a natural soap (or any soap for that matter)?

“I would recommend to anyone who may be interested in buying natural soaps (or any body care item for that matter) to invest time to learn about the ingredients that are used in that specific product. Your skin is your body’s biggest organ, it will absorb whatever you put onto it. Make sure that the brand lists what is giving the said product it’s scent and colors.”

5. What is the benefit in shopping “small” when it comes to buying natural soaps? Is business booming?

“Shoppers should make sure that they are comfortable with the company’s ethics and culture. Blue Bee Bars is a small business, based in Brooklyn, NY. It is ran and managed Nadine Perkins-Buddy, an African American woman loves making soap. Our soaps sell out quickly, and if you are interested in a bar that is sold out, just send us an email to [email protected] so that we can start working on your order.”

My 2 Cents  & (Series Wrap Up)…

Natural soaps have been one of those products I tried and wasn’t completely convinced was for me. I had just about given up on all natural soaps. Blue Bee Bars was the brand that changed my mind. Blue Bee Bars‘s ingredients are some of my favorites for winding down after a long day (or week, or month lol). They have at least two recipes with Lavender,(Lavender Madness & Lemony Lavender), which is my go to when I need to relax. You can read my complete review on Blue Bee Bars by clicking HERE.

I hope that I have convinced you to give natural soaps a try. I particularly love purchasing them from the business owners directly so that I can receive background on the ingredients and inspiration for the recipes. I believe that they are truly worthy the extra money. When it comes to your skin, value is more important than price.  Feel free to comment below with any natural soap brands that you recommend.
