How I Save Money (And My Sanity) While Shopping Online With TopCashBack

If there’s one thing I wholeheartedly (albeit regrettably) find each week as a mom is there is ALWAYS something that needs to be purchased. Whether its something for the house, the kids, or anywhere in between, the list of things to buy is never ending.

As time went on, I found it was much easier to just make a list of these things and purchase them online before they are empty or worn to avoid having to search in stores. PLUS, buying online provides more opportunities for saving extra money compared to purchasing in stores.

Aside from using coupon codes, using cashback websites is one of my favorite ways to save additional money on my regular purchases.

I came across the website TopCashBack.com a couple of years ago and was amazed at the high percentages it was providing its users.

What is a cashback website? 

A cashback website is one that lets you earn a certain amount of your money back when you use their links to retail stores to shop. By signing up for their website and proceeding through the links provided, your transaction with the retailer is recorded and a portion of the money you spent is returned to you at the cashback site and deposited into an account. The more you use the site, the more money you can make back.

How Do I Use TopCashBack.com

Once you go to the website or download the app, you will be asked to either create an account or log in with your email and password.

When logged in, you can browse the site for potential retailers to visit. They are arranged via category, trending, travel deals, top offers, and more. You can also find a retailer directly by using the search bar.

After choosing a store, you will see how much cashback you are being offered on the transaction and proceed by selecting it. You will be prompted to continue to the retailer’s site with a link that says “Get Cashback”. From there you will be taken to the store’s website where you can shop as normal.

While you are shopping, your transaction is being recorded by TopCashBack and your total spent will be analyzed to determine how much money you will get back. Within a couple of days, you will be able to see how much money you have earned in TopCashBack’s earnings section.

Within a couple of days or weeks, you will get an email stating you can redeem your earnings. These earnings can be transferred to a Paypal or personal account. You can also elect to receive a gift card to a variety of websites. Oftentimes, you will be offered a bonus percentage on the gift card value which will give you more money to spend.

What Makes TopCashBack.com Different Than Others?

There are 2 reasons why I prefer TopCashBack over other sites:

1. The Cashback Percentages Are Higher

When I discovered cashback websites in general, I noticed there were a few where unless they were running a promotion, their cashback percentage amounts to the stores I frequently purchase from were quite low. Yes, getting something back instead of nothing is always better. But getting more back is always a good thing.

TopCashback regularly provides higher percentages over other websites in this genre. I almost stopped checking other altogether at one point because each purchase through TopCashBack just worked out more in my favor using their site.

2. The Redemption Time Periods Are Shorter 

While I mentioned above the time allowed for you to take out your earnings can vary from days to weeks, in general the time period is shorter than other sites that only pay per quarter. In addition there are no thresholds that you must reach on your account to be allowed to deduct the money.

In addition, you are able to receive extra cash back for each friend that you refer. This is a great way to make a bit of extra money.
