The 3 Four Sigmatic Mushroom Beverages In My Shopping Cart Right This Second

 

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been incredibly fascinated with medicinal mushrooms and their potential properties. With the help of this book, I’ve started incorporating more exotic varieties into my meals. I spoke about it quickly on my Instagram feed and it started a bit of conversation around how awesome they are.

Medical mushrooms have properties that include improving immunity, adaptogenic (helping the body deal with stress easier), and even cognitive boosters.

The company Four Sigmatic has been all over the medicinal mushroom train and created an entire line incorporating them into everyday drinks such as lattes, matcha blends, golden milk, and coffee.

I’ve tried quite a few items from the brand, and was quite impressed. They are a great low risk way to get into the world of mushrooms.

With all the Black Friday sales this year, I couldn’t pass up the deals Four Sigmatic was offering. In addition, trusty Amazon also has products from the line at affordable prices.

Here are a couple of products of theirs that found their way into my shopping cart:

 

1. Mushroom Matcha With Lion’s Mane

I LOOOOVE Matcha. It’s certainly an acquired taste and I have grown to love it over the years. I first came across it when I attempted to quit coffee (and did for a few months, only to be led back to the dark side by that addictive Java).

I shared my experiences with it in this post, but always encourage people to try it for themselves. Matcha is basically ground up whole green tea leaves. It is brewed in water and consumed whole. It’s known for its long lasting energy boost without the crash coffee leaves many with.

In addition, Matcha is known for it’s ability to boost mental clarity and focus. This benefit is what makes it a good match for the Lion’s Mane mushroom. Lion’s Mane is known for it’s more than promising neural protective properties. According to Paul Stamens, one of the most (if not THE most) famous mycologist, he “believes it to be the first smart mushroom“. In this and this video, he goes on to explain the way lion’s mane mushrooms have been proving help with improved brain function and may possibly be a great resource in the fight again Alzheimer’s.

So, the Four Sigmatic Mushroom Matcha with Lion’s Mane seems like a great combo for the long days I have between work and mom life.

2. Chai Latte with Turkey Tail

The Chai Latte with Turkey Tail is one of their new blends that I am excited to see on the market. While most would think it’s because chai blends are generally pretty awesome, (matter of fact, I am drinking Chai tea as I’m writing this…go figure), but it’s actually because it includes the turkey tail mushroom.

Turkey Tail mushroom is one of the most used and researched mushrooms in cancer treatments. It’s great for the immune system but isn’t found readily in stores. Of course, this can’t be can’t be claimed on the box, but the gut health properties can. Having this in such a ready to drink form is awesome.

 

3. Mushroom Hot Cacao with Reishi 

Who doesn’t love hot chocolate? With us getting further and further into the winter months, I feel it’s an absolute must at least a couple times a week.

The Mushroom Hot Cacao makes it easy to incorporate the adaptogenic and immune boosting properties of the Reishi mushroom. I feel it’s almost a perfect combo being that the best cups of hot chocolate is usually right after coming in from the cold and you need to chill out. It’s also available on Amazon along with most of the other items from the brand.
